Broken Plans

In my last posted I talked about renewed motivation and determination for a better week. Monday was great. I watched my sweets intake and had a great work out. Tuesday came along and this happened...

BROKEN TOE. Just below the joint. Dr's recommendation: Tape it, wear a boot and stay off it for 4 weeks!!?! Seriously. For a broken toe? I will definitely tape it and stay off it as much as possible, but wearing a boot for a broken toe, is just not going to happen. Also, not so sure about the 4 weeks either. I don't want to re-injure it or anything but I'm going to attempt hard core work outs again in 2 weeks and see how it goes. Bummer huh.

Amy, sounds like girls camp was rough! However, I think PB M&M's are a must have for a week of girls camp. I think that week was a throw away week for all of us. Cheers to better weeks ahead!

  1. Sooo sad! That looks really painful! Take care and don't push it too soon. Hopefully it heals quickly and you can get back to your goals.

    We must have the curse of the fitness challenge! Since coming back from camp I have had one roadblock after another. First camp completely wiped me out. I was exhausted for days. The week after camp I was supposed to be in charge of a family reunion on my mom's side. That was stressful getting ready for, but then I ended up getting really sick the first day of the reunion. I have been sooo sick since then, and hardly have been out of bed. It is crazy sick that has completely wiped me out. I can't talk cause my throat is so sore and I have lost my voice. It seems to keep hanging on and on, while the laundry gets higher and higher and my fitness goals have gone bye bye! I think I could possibly be right back to where I started at (and maybe worse) I don't dare look at the scale! Hopefully the curse will end soon! :)_amy
